WOW
I am currently dumbfounded. I have kinda been seeing this guy who as of lately has been a little sketchy. I just called him, he answered the phone, we made small talk for about 3minutes and then he hung up on me!!!!! Mid-sentence! Now I called back and get sent to voicemail after about 3 rings and no reply to texts. I know he's at home so if his phone died he could just go plug it in. Guess you can't get much clearer than that but if you didn't want to talk to me just don't answer your phone! I'm done. That is definately a first for me. wow.

I'm Baaacck
I made it back from MN last night. Hope you all had wonderful Christmas's! Mine was good, although very busy. It was nice to see all my family, yet the snow and wind and cold confirmed that northern MN is not the place for me. :) My flights were good but lots of crying kids, I even got exit rows with extra leg room both ways. I did get delayed a few hours coming back, not sure why since the weather was fine both places. At least by me getting delayed I was able to get a friend to come pick me up rather than having to take a shuttle home. Unfortunately I didn't take a single picture while home so I have nothing to share with you all.
So far I have no plans for the weekend other than running errands and unpacking. :( Most of my friends are still out of town for the holidays. I was hoping to get together with one friend who I haven't seen much of lately but he seems to be blowing me off. :( And the rest who are here are tryng to save some money after the spendy holiday season (probably a good idea but I get bored sitting here by my lonesome!). Ah well, I'm sure I'll find something to do, just extra restless from going from being around so many people to being here all by myself. Plus I have lots on my mind and dwell on it when I am sitting home alone. :(

Merry Christmas!
Just wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas! I'm off for MN bright and early tomorrow morning. Still a little concerned about my ride to the airport since he can be a bit of a flake and is holding true to that this time. I called him twice yesterday and again today (with the risk of getting annoying but I need to know) but have yet to hear back from him. All I want to do is make sure I have a ride so that if I don't I will have time to make other arrangements! I mean really, how hard is a text back?!?! ARGH! So frustrating!

ZZZZZZZZ
Not much to report here. My weekend was rather uneventful. Friday I went out with Dana & Josh for a couple beers. Saturday I cleaned, had coffee with a friend, met for drinks with and old co-worker, then stopped by McDonald's for another drink and in hopes of finding something exciting to do but with no avail. Sunday my stomach wasn't agreeing with me (and no it wasn't a hangover, I only had 2 drinks all night long) so I sat around all day, did a little laundry, and watched a couple bad movies.
I found myself working on my day off yet again but this time it's because I am leaving for MN on friday. It's going to be a short trip (fri-wed with virtually all of fri and wed consumed with traveling) but it's better than spending xmas all alone. Plus I haven't seen my brother or nephew since last x-mas, I guess none of my extended family since then either for that matter. It's going to be the first year in at least 3 that I will make it to my mom's family xmas since my grandma started having it the weekend before xmas a few years ago and even when I was living in Minneapolis it was just too hard. I am going to FREEZE! I think the 34 degrees here is cold let alone when you put a negative in front of it!
Amy got my nephew to talk to me this weekend (he's not a big phone talker). He talked to me for a little while then I asked if he was excited to see me. He replied that he "needed to hang up the phone now." I told him it was ok if he wasn't excited to see me and he said ok and then kept talking. :( Broke my heart but at least he didn't lie. So sad, I am going to be the aunt who he has no idea who she is other than someone who sends him presents. :(

PICS
This past saturday was my company xmas party. It was ok, a little too long for my liking though. It was supposed to go 6-11 but didn't get done until after 12 and you really couldn't leave early. Plus the food was HORRIBLE and drinks were really expensive. Ah well, all the old higher up men in the company thought I was cute, I even got a kiss from one of them. LOL! My co-workers love it.
The rest of my weekend was pretty uneventful. Friday went out with my friend Cori in Olympia. Saturday was consumed by xmas party. Sunday I finished up my xmas shopping, went to dinner with my friend Cori, and then met up with a guy I'm friends with for a few drinks. Monday went out for lunch with same guy, went to the dr, and slept the rest of my day away.
Well here are some pics.

Made It!
I participated in the stair climb to raise money for cystic fibrosis research that I've been talking about last night. Let me tell you it was a tough one! I think one of the worst parts was that you see what floor you are on at each floor since it was in a real building so you sit there and count them down. I haven't exerted myself like that in a long time though. Plus I seem to have acquired a bit of a smoker's cough from it, can't seem to laugh without coughing. LOL!
Overall I was happy with how I did, I finished in 9 min 33 seconds, was the 2nd female to finish and 22 overall out of about 350. Didn't think I had that in me anymore (especially since I haven't ran stairs since high school!). :) Plus I beat my boss who said he would give me $10 if I passed him (he started 2 people in front of me and we were staggered at 10 sec intervals). Well I passed him at about floor 30 and beat him by almost 3 minutes. Haha.

Sorry
Sorry mom looks like your X-mas colors got vetoed! Hope this one is a little easier on all you eyes.
It snowed here this weekend which I am so not enthused about. But at least none of it sticks. Then the rest of the weekend it spent with crazy amounts of rain (2nd most ever in a 24 hr period) and hurricane like winds (we're talking 80-100mph). YUCK!!! I am starting to wonder why in the world I moved here again. Just keep telling myself it's better than MN, right?
Went to the Nutcracker in Seattle on saturday. It was good but I didn't have much idea what was going on since I'm not really familiar with the story. It was great couple time. ;) Then we met some friends at a pub afterwards which I was WAY overdressed for. Ah well.
I'm doing the fundraising stair climb that I previously mentioned on Thursday. SOOO, last chance to donate if you want. All is greatly appreciated and it goes to a great cause. Here's the link again just in case (probably need to cut and paste it).

Better???
Sorry Stephie is that better for you? I changed it at work and didn't have time to see how it looked. Yes, it was a little neon. LOL! At work again so didn't really check it out but if it still blinds you let me know. :)

Per Request
Per my mom's request here are some festive colors. :) This will likely be the extent of decorating I do this year. haha.
Thanksgiving was good. We ate lots of good food and dranks lots too. It was a fun time for all...ate, drank, watched football, ate and drank more, played cards, ventured out to a couple bars and drank some more. Friday morning and having to go to work came way too quickly!
Didn't do much over the weekend. Saturday went to a spinning class and ran some errands, went out for sushi with a couple of friends, then met up with some different friends for cards later that night. Sunday just kind layed around. And been working all week. It was nice to relax a little over the weekend being my next few are jam packed.

Happy Turkey Day!!!
Haha I had forgotten I had changed my blog color and almost didn't recognize my page when I turned to it. Anyhow, my class went well this past weekend but it was long and exhausting. Who knew sitting for 28 hours could be so tiring! Lol! I definately know that I am not made to sit for 8 hours a day, I was squirming in my chair like no other. I was super glad that I decided to get a hotel for some of the nights at least, on thursday it took me 1hr 45min to get to my hotel 10 miles away. One thing I don't miss about living in a city.
I'm not going to be able to make it home for Thanksgiving so I'm celebrating with some friends here. We are going to have SOOOOO much food! I'm currently baking pies since I have to work all day tomorrow and have plans with a friend tomorrow night. Hopefully they'll make it until thursday. :-/ I'm second guessing making the one tonight, worried that it may be a little soggy come thursday but too late now.
I'm bored waiting for my pies to cook so here is a little survey for you. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and eat lots and lots of food!!!
I think this survey may be too deep for me but here it goes...
Ten Things You Want To Say To Ten Different People:
1. Angkor: you are a rockstar and you MUST come to chopstix again!
2. Phil/Travis: Who are you and where did you get my phone number from??

4. Dana: I'm excited about all the yummy food we are going to make!
5. Missy: If I did something to you I would really like to know, I would think that we've been friends for too long to just throw that away.
6. A patient: One word--deodorant!!!
7. Mom: Thank you for supporting the decisions I've made even though you may not agree with them

HoHum
First off there is this guy who goes to my gym that looks so much like Garrett that it almost makes me sick.
Anyhow, I had a pretty uneventful weekend, didn't do much worth writing about. This week I have a 4 day class thur-sun that's north of Seattle so I worked today and then will have to take a day of vacation. Traffic is going to suck!!! To get there in time I'm going to have to leave by 5:30, yuck! I broke down and got a hotel for thursday night and am not too worried about traffic on the weekend but thursday morning and friday night are going to be hell! Plus being that I drive a gas guzzler gas is going to kill me. Ah the joys of continuing ed, hopefully it will at least be a good class.

Stair Climb
I somehow got suckered into participating into a 56 floor stair climb race to help raise money for cystic fibrosis research. What it entails is me hauling my butt up 56 flights of stairs (I believe it is in the Washington Tower in Seattle). They then tally up our team of 5 times to come up with a winner. Hope the guys aren't looking to win being they bugged me to be on the team, of which I am the sole girl, and I have not run stairs since high school!
The reason I am doing this is because a guy I work with has CF and is really involved in the foundation. CF is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that:
-clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections;
-obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.
SOOO, if anyone would like to support me and my team in this climb along with supporting cystic fibrosis research here is a link to donate money to our team. Ross set a goal of raising $1,000.

**ok I guess the link doesn't work but it works for me if you cut and paste it.

Halloween continued...
This time we went to a bar that I seem to visit almost weekly but it has very cheep drink so how can you go wrong. LOL! This night wasn't nearly as fun but I did get to see a few friends who I haven't seen in a while. The night ended early for Dana and Alicia while I stayed a while longer and caught a ride with some other friends. Unfortunately my night ended with some stupid boy drama which kind of ruined the night for me.
As promised here are a few pictures.

Halloween
Saturday we decided to celebrate halloween a little early. First we went on this haunted trail which was actually really good. They had people jumping out at you and chasing you the whole trail (it was about 1 mile), complete with a guy with a chainsaw and all. I think my favorite part was this house with all black walls, things hanging from the ceiling, no lights, and no door. You wander in circles trying to follow a wall but just running into everyone for about 5 minutes before they let you out. It was fun.
Next we went back to Alicia's to have a few drinks and get ready to go to the bar. Our costumes were interesting but we had a great time! I almost got my butt kicked by some lady who out weighed me by about 100lbs and was dressed as a bucket of KFC chicken with rats on it. She claimed we stole her table, we wouldn't move, and she pushed me. Ah, excitment. I did manage to come home with a gun and several glow sticks that I didn't start the night off with. LOL! Here are a few pics. Sorry mom my skirt is really short but no worries I don't dress like this normally. :) Hopefully I'll have more pics to post after wednesday.

car trouble
Why is car work so expensive? I have dropped more than a lot of people pay for their car getting mine fixed this past week! First, I got some body/paint work done on it. It wasn't anything major, just some scratches that had been there for awhile but one of the little spots was starting to rust a little so figured I better get it taken care of. So I was without my car all week and it cost me a TON. Then they managed to miss a part of it so I get to go without a car again on monday. Yipee. Then I decided that I had better take it in for a 30,000 mile maintenance since I know nothing about cars. Plus I was pretty sure my transmission was leaking. Turns out I was right about the transmission, this is my second transmission leak and my car is only 2 years old! Then to add to the trouble I also have a leak in my rear differential! Thank god I decided to get the extended warranty. So that means yet another day with no car and having to bug someone to give me rides to and from the dealer. Think I may be trading this car in before I hit the 70,000 mile mark and am without a warranty with the way things are going. Sucks though cuz I was hoping for a little time with no car payment but looks like no such luck.

It's time
I figure it's about time for an update. Unfortunately not too much exciting going on here other than the same old. I went hiking again last weekend. It was a pretty strenuous hike, 4 miles in but headed straight up with no flat spots. Unfortuantely it was so foggy uptop that you could see nothing and then it started sleating. Fun. I also got some HUGE blisters that are still giving me problems. :( Went out saturday night and then was extra lazy on sunday.
The week was the same old with work. I did get my haircut yesterday and it's a bit of a change. It is now really dark brown with red/copper highlights and quite short (it had been light brown with blond highlights and about 1-2 inches above my shoulders). I really like the color but am still a little hesitant on the cut. Byebye to being able to put it up for work and not having to worry about it. :( I'll post a pic when I get one. Went out last night to a new bar. It was a salsa bar, not really my thing so we then headed over to this bar that used to be an old firehouse. It pretty fun but people in this town are obsessed with kariokee!
I've been missing SoCal weather a bit. I must have blinked and missed summer here, lol, I don't think I ever got a tan. Now it's been gray and cold and rainy. Boo. It did make for a good day to go eat Mexican and then catch a movie. Saw Good Luck Chuck, it was pretty funny.
The next 3 weeks are going to be filled with work. We are just getting done remodeling so are closed on friday for carpet installation. That means I work tomorrow. Problem is is that I have a doctor appt that I couldn't get changed so I get to go to work at 7, work for 2 hrs then go to my Dr appt and then back to work. Yeah fun. That makes for a 12 hour day tomorrow and then have to do it again on wednesday. Then I have the stupid class that the company requires the following 2 weeks so that means 50 hour weeks but only getting paid for 40 of them. So not fair but what can you do.

Up & Up & Up
No triathalon for me this weekend. :) When I found out that it would be $55 a piece with no t-shirt and nowhere could I find what the cause was I convinced the boys that it would be much better use of our time and money to hike instead. So, we got up bright and early and headed over to the Olympic Mountains. It was great weather and the view was gorgeous! The hike was 3.8 miles each way with about a 3,000ft elevation gain. I didn't think it was bad at all and the view definately made it worth it. From the top you could see Mt. Rainer, Mt. Baker, and downtown Seattle.

Uneventful
I finally had a pretty much uneventful weekend and it was so nice! Friday I went out for a few drinks and then stayed with a friend who has been having some problems with somebody breaking into her house. Saturday I ventured up to Seattle for Bumbershoot, a music and arts festival. I think people watching was at it's best, you definately saw all sorts and hair colors! lol! Panic at the disco and Gym Class Heroes played. Sunday the day somehow disappeared from me and I got nothing done before I had to shower and get ready to go out for sushi with a friend. It was yummy, I haven't had sushi since I moved up here since no one will eat it with me. Monday I finally tackeled a pile of paperwork that has been staring at me and ran all sorts of errands and stuff. All in all my weekend was good.
This week I will be busy with work again, although I only worked half a day yesterday due to a doctor appointment in the morning. I somehow got convinced to be the running leg in a relay triathalon on saturday morning with a couple guys I know. Not sure how this will go being that I have hardly been running. It is dark by the time I get home so can't during the week and I've just been extra busy on the weekend so maybe get 1 day in and it's usually pretty short. I do go to the gym and all but running is a whole different story for me. But I figure it is only 5.5 miles, it may not be pretty but I know I can finish it... Wish me luck on that one!!!

On a brighter note
I think I need something more cheerful on top. My weekend was pretty uneventful but it was nice to relax a little. Didn't do much. Went to yoga a saturday morning and then ran errands and stuff. Tried to go for a run later that day but it got cut really short and I got DRENCHED! I was so wet my pants were sliding right off. LOL! Then that night I went to Dana and Josh's to hang out a bit, watch a movie, and have a few adult beverages. Sunday turned out to be a pretty nice day even though they were predicting rain again. I cleaned some more and did laundry and then Dana and I went for a walk. Of course I worked on my day off again but at least my next couple pay checks should be pretty. :) I finally managed to pick out a new pair of glasses. Hopefully I'll like them and wear them a little more often than my current ones. Here are a few pictures from random nights for your viewing pleasure.

Why oh why
Why is it that no matter how much you tell yourself that you don't care you are still disappointed when something doesn't turn out how you had hoped? I try to tell myself not to expect things because then I won't be disappointed but rather happy when they pan out how I had hoped. Yet I always end up being disappointed and a little sad....

I suck
Sorry I kinda suck at posting lately, guess not much that I feel like sharing going on. My parents came out to visit for 10 days. We did all sorts of things including the Glass Museum, Point Defiance, Pike's Market, a Seattle duck tour, Mt. Rainer, and others. I don't think my dad enjoyed the area much, too many people for him. But at least they got a chance to see where I live which they never did when I was in CA.
Other than that I have just been busy with work, worked 50 hrs last week and will work 48 this next one. I did go out on thursday to celebrate the student that we've had the last 2 or 3 months being done. We went to a restraunt on the waterfront and then to my usual thursday night bar. All the guys were hurting pretty bad on friday at work, it was pretty funny. Tonight I am planning on going out with Dana and Josh since we havent seen much of each other the past month with my parents being here and then his. Always a good time so it will be fun.

I am alive
Yes, I am alive. I have just been really busy with not many exciting postable things. I did, however, go down to Oregon to visit my aunt and uncle this past weekend. I haven't seen seen them since '03 when they were in MN so it was nice to see them. I got there friday evening so we just had dinner and then played cards. My uncle likes to tell stories so he told me lots about my dad growing up and what a brat he was and about my grandparents who I never really knew. Saturday we went for a drive along the Rouge river and saw lots of people rafting and fishing and stuff. Sunday we went to Crater lake which was very pretty. Unfortunately it was a little overcast so we didn't get the full wonder of the lake but it was still nice to see. I would like to go back and do some of the hiking around there that I didn't get to do since my aunt and uncle are getting pretty old. Their son came along and it was the first time I've met him since all my cousins are so much older than me. It was interesting. Lol.
Here are a few pics. The first is an area on the Rouge river that is referred to as the gorge.

The next few are of Crater lake.

Lots O' Fun
This past week was a crazy week for me and I feel like I didn't sit or sleep at all! Tuesday I went to a Mariner's game with Dana and Tricia. It was a nice night out and a close game which always makes for fun. Plus we enjoyed massive amounts of chili fries/dogs, garlic fries, $10 pops, and some complimentry peanuts. ;) Wednesday I got to try out my handiman skills and assemble my new grill, I have not yet attempted to light it and am a little concerned with blowing up my apartment. :/ Any takers?! haha. Thursday Dana and I along with Tricia went to mine and Dana's usual thursday night hangout. Unfortunately it was a weird night there and it seemed as though there was a full moon or something, every weirdo in the town was out. In the first 5 minutes there we had a guy with all white hair argue with me about what a huge metro area tacoma is, Please! Then Dana had a guy talking to her about something, she mentioned that she was married, he said so was he but he was there with his sister so it was ok?! Who knows! Friday I was really hoping for a date with my couch but we got a call saying that all the army boys were getting together, I mean how could we miss that?! So we headed down to Olympia for a fun-filled night that it seems only the females remember. LOL! Saturday was my friend Tricia's going away party at the Cheesecake factory in Seattle. Unfortunately since we had a group of 17 it took FOREVER! I had offered to get there early since they dont take reservations so I got there 1 hr beofre everyone else but it still took us 2.5 hours to get seated! By the time dinner was over knowing that I had a 45 minute drive I just couldn't get myself to go to the bar with everyone, my bed was calling my name due to my lack of sleep all week. Finally on sunday Dana and I went to a friend's BBQ to say goodbye to the guys who are deploying. It was a good time as always.
Hopefully this week will be a little calmer but with the 4th in there it is doubtful. Anyhow, I hope you all have a exciting and safe 4th! Oh yes, Amy is alive and finally getting some fire activity. They were at the fire in Tahoe all last week and are now at a fire in the Santa Barbara area.

Blah
That is what kind of day I am having. Everyone at work was asking me what was wrong, nothing is wrong I just don't feel like talking...or doing anything else for that matter. :) Don't know what my deal is other than I am tired and preoccupied.
Not too much else here. Annoyed because I've had a class last friday and this one that I am required to take but don't get paid for so that means 2 50 hour weeks in a row but only getting paid for 80 of those. So Annoying! To add to the exhaustion I decided to pull an all-nighter on saturday. Don't get me wrong I thoroughly enjoyed myself ;) but I did learn some things that have been totally occupying my mind since then and don't know what to do with it. Plus not sleeping has made for the 50 hour weeks to be even more bothersome....

Pictures Galore
I went to the John Mayer/Ben Folds concert at the Gorge on Saturday. It was a good time except that it was extremely hot (97 when we got there at 4:30). It is definantly one of the prettiest venues I've been to. However, the seating does suck a bit.
Here's some pictures I promised of Vancouver along with a few from the concert and other random gatherings throughout the week.

Oh Canada
I went up to Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia for the long weekend but unfortunately it was a bust. We left friday night after work and didn't get up there until late. By then we were exhausted and every hotel ended up being booked so we spent way too much to get a room. The next day we went to this Capalino suspension bridge and rope course which ended up being a total rip off. The bridge was cool and all but the rope course was lame and it cost way too much money. That night we met up with a girl who works for the same company as Tricia for dinner/drinks. Well every restraunt seemed to be booked all night and finally after the 5th place we settled on fish and chips (so not my thing). Finally after a walk through the wrong part of town (I was actually a little scared and coming from LA I have been in some bad areas) we finally made it to a club. Well the club sucked!! Everyone there was hardly 19 and drinks were $11!!! I really wanted to go to another place but the other girls didn't want to pay cover again so there we stayed. Sunday we headed over to Victoria. Everyone had told us that everything is within walking distance from the ferry stop so we didn't bring our car. Well we get off the ferry and decide to grab a cab instead of walking. We ask the cab driver about how much it will be and he says $60-70! Turns out to ferry from port angeles (which is washington) docks right in victoria but the ferry from vancouver docks in swartz bay at the other end of the island! After our $80 cab ride we check into where we were staying an it was a total dump so we went and walked around the town a little and found a pub to hid out in until we absolutly had to go back to our dumpy room. By then our trip was so bad that we got up and grabbed a bus at 10 the next morning instead of exploring the town a little more. All in all the trip was a bust but at least now I can say I've been there, right? I will upload some pics once I get a chance to.

A week in review
My week was a little calmer than most. I stayed home friday night and then saturday I brought my date Dana to a Mariner's game. It was fun, our seats were pretty good and even better being that they were free. :)
Afterwards we met up with my friend Tricia and the guy she is dating who was in town from Chicago. We went to this little Irish pub called Fado and just sat around and talked.
This week is going to extra busy for me. Tomorrow I have to be at a meeting in Puyallup by 7:30 so that means I have to get up extra early. Wednesday I have a dinner after work for a girl that is leaving. Thursday I am supposed to go to this piano bar with some friends. And then friday I leave for vancouver with Tricia for the long weekend. I am sure to be exhausted by next tuesday.
Well here are a few more pics for your viewing pleasure.

Garbage
The girl who lives across the landing from me has this problem with taking her trash to the dumpster, she takes it and sets it on our landing and leaves it there for at least a week (both Amy and Dana can vouch for this fact). Yes, our dumpsters are a bit of a hike but it has been gorgeous out plus she must not work since her car is always there so come on! It drives me nuts! It smells and it's just gross. So I normally kick it over so it directly blocks her door but she must just step over it. When Amy was here Rob put a very large board on her door thinking she would get the hint but no such luck. Well this last week she had 2 bags sitting out there for over a week and it looks as though an animal got into it and there was crumbs and stuff all over the landing. Think she could sweep them up? Of course not! So being the 2 year old that I am I just swept them all right in front of her door. I want to complain to management but she will know it's me since we are the only 2 on this level. And she knows where I live and what car I drive. It's just so gross and it's driving me crazy! I mean how lazy can you be?!
Enough of that though. This weekend I laid low since I didn't get home before 10 a single night last week. It was so nice not to do anything for a change! I finally got my new furniture and it looks very nice. It does consume my entire room but whatever. Then I got free tickets to the Mariner's game for next weekend so Dana is going to be my date. Other than that it is pretty much the same old same old.

I finally got my new furniture and it looks very nice. It does consume my entire room but whatever. Then I got free tickets to the Mariner's game for next weekend so Dana is going to be my date. Other than that it is pretty much the same old same old.

yay!
I finally broke down and bought myself a bedroom set. After dragging Dana around to several stores so that I could have a second opinion I finally decided on this one (sorry not the best picture but you get the idea):

Hopefully it won't consume my entire room but at least I will finally have a place to store some of my clothes since currently I have no dresser and my closet shelves are exploding!
Other than that life has been pretty boring. Have been working at least 45 hrs a week and am considering upping it a little to pay for my hefty purchase...nah I think I may go crazy working 5 10s. :) Especially since my weekends seem to be consumed with chores, errands, and fun and my couch is starting to feel very lonely.
I finally have health insurance again. Yay! So now I have to do all those fun things that I have been putting off. In fact I have a fun filled doctor appointment tomorrow. :( It kinda sucks working the hours I do since it seems virtually impossible to get an appointment on mondays and then my boss gives me a hard time for taking time off for appointments. Oh well, that's why I have sick time, right? My patients tomorrow morning will just have to deal with having their appointments moved. Now I just need to find time for the dentist and eye doctor since it has been several years since I have been. Yikes!
Well that is all for now. Later dudes! :)

Not much
Not much to report here. The excitment that I had last week Amy wrote about already. Then I just worked this week and stayed home and made friends with my couch on Friday since I haven't been feeling too well and am losing my voice and then went to a house party with Dana on Saturday, it was a good time as always. Here's some pictures from last weekend for your viewing pleasure since I have nothing to write about.

Don't you hate...
Don't you hate when you go to get your hair done someplace that comes reccommended and then they totally mess it up??!! I now look like a skunk and am all stripey and half blond. I wouldn't think that rich brown with a few carmel highlights would turn into brown on bottom and almost pure blond with a couple stripes on top! And I told them I wanted it to look natural. Yeah, not so much! My hair looks awful but I am afraid to go back and make them fix it, it is that bad. Plus I would have to wait until friday with the late hours I work. GRRRRRR!!!!

Why oh why
Why is it on days that you don't feel good you are extra busy?? I think my allergies are coming back to haunt me since I've moved to a city with trees again and my sinuses feel as though they may explode! So today I am completely swamped. Today is the day that I have a meeting over lunch so no lunch break for me and then CPR training for 2 hours after work. ugh! Then my schedule was full and I had 3 new patients and 4 stat reports. then I have this guy who totally sucks who spent the first 15 minutes arguing with me and when I finally told him to cooperate or I was kicking him out he started asking me out? Now how could you think I would ever agree to that, especially considering you're like 50!!! And then I had every crazy person possible on my schedule!
Anyhow, other than that not much than the norm here. Have been hanging out with Dana and Tricia a lot. Got my car fixed on monday and Dana and Josh were nice enough to come pick me up and hang out with me all day so I didnt have to sit at the dealership(thanks again you guys!). I have no plans for this weekend but hopefully something will come up or I will be quite bored. I'll have to consider it as a way to rest up for next weekend when Amy is here I suppose.

NEVER go to valvoline!!!
So I brought a brand new car so that I wouldn't have to deal with car shit but valvoline is doing it's best to make that different! I got my oil changed at valvoline last time I got it changed and when I moved my car the next morning there was a big puddle of oil under it. So I brought it back in and they tried telling me it was my transmission leaking. NO, I do know what oil looks like. Anyhow I took it to the dealer and they put a new gasket on my transmission. Problem solved...or so I thought. I went to walmart for an oil change today and fricking valvoline tightened the plug so hard that they can't get it off. Great! Now I have to find a dealer and pray that they can get it off otherwise they will have to drill it and I'll have that whole expense. I suppose when I went to valvoline saying it was leaking they just cranked the plug as hard as they could. GRRRRRRRRR!!!! I will never go to valvoline again.

B-day fun
Thursday was my birthday so we went to this dualing piano bar which was actually pretty fun. 2 girls from work, Dana, Cori, and some of Cori's co-workers came along for the fun. Thursday is ladies night so all drinks (and not just bar pour) were $3. Good drinks that are $3=bad news. LOL! Let's just say friday was a little rough and we were all wishing that we were Dana who just got to lie on her couch all day. :) Since it was my b-day they made me go on stage, lifted me onto the piano, and sang to me. It was a little embarrassing but at least I had a few drinks in me by then. :) I think lots of fun was had by all.
Other than that I have just been working a lot. My social life is booming compared to what it was a month ago. The people I work with really like to go out. I've been trying to limit mysefl to 2-3 nights per week.
Here's me on the piano. LOL!

And here's some of the group that joined us.

Inquiring minds want to know
I thought most people knew this but I guess not. Yes, I did bite my tongue off when I was little. I don't remember it but Amy says she does. Anyhow, I was 18 months old and at my babysitter's house when my cousin's daughter pushed me down the stairs. I bit the tip of my tongue off and I was sucking on a stick so I poked 2 holes in the roof of my mouth, one up toward my nose and the other back toward my throat. They sewed the holes shut and my tongue back on. I had to take speach when I was little bacause of it and I blame that for why my accent is so much stronger than Amy's. Other than having a problem with saying some words, an occassional stutter, and the scars in the roof of my mouth bother me sometimes I have no problems. So that's my story. :)

Not much
Well I don't have too much to report. Work is crazy busy so during the week I don't do much being that I don't get done with work until 7 or 7:30 and live 30 minutes away. Went to dinner on friday, the out for a drink but had to cut it short since I had to get up early on saturday. I ran a 5k on Saturday morning. It went well being that I haven't ran at all for at least 2 months and have been barely making it to the gym. I did manage to beat everyone else that I knew who was running it, not that it was a race or anything. ;) Saturday night I intended to make friends with my couch but got convinced to go up to Seattle. It was my first Seattle adventure and was a good time, in fact I didn't make it home until 5am! I thought I was going to die I was soooo tired. Let me tell you, Seattle is much more my scene than Tacoma...can actually go into a bar without paying a cover so I can feel fine with my tendency to bar hop. And there was hot boys, always a plus. :)

I survived
Well I survived my first week in WA. So far the rain isn't driving me crazy, it doesn't rain constant all day so it's not so bad. Work will be a big change. It's really busy and everyone is much more manual based (which I like but am a little rusty on since I was unable to do it at my old job). I'm feeling a little overwhelmed and stupid since I haven't been in a setting like this. Time will make things better I'm sure. Not getting done until 7pm may kill me and make me fat. Not sure how often I'll make it to the gym after that since it would mean not eating dinner until at least 9. Thinking about trying to hit the gym before work but I know how that normally works for me.
My weekend was rather busy. Friday I went to dinner with a co-worker and then we decided to go have a few drinks at this little hole in the wall bar. It was a little frightening, more hickish than the bars at tech! Saturday I finally got my stuff, YAY!!! So now I have a couch to sit on. Then I went out with Cori (a friend from PT school). Not a huge fan of the place we went but from what I hear it is the place to go in Tacoma. I ran into a guy from Hibbing who graduated with Amy. Totally random. Then Sunday I got together with Dana, a friend from tech. It was nice to see her and catch up since I don't think I've talked to her in almost 5 years. Hopefully I'll be seeing a little more of her. :)

Made It
Just wanted to let everyone know that I made it to WA ok. The drive was long and boring but at least the weather wasn't too bad, I hit a little snow and lots of rain but nothing I couldn't handle. I did decide that Oregon is just messed up. People all drive UNDER the speed limit, who does that??? And they fill up your gas for you. This felt so odd to me being that I have never had anyone do it for me. Good thing Amy warned me otherwise I would have looked like I retard cuz I would have gotten out and done it myself.
Unfortunately my stuff will not make it until next Saturday. :( So I currently have an air matress and some paper plates for the next week. WA made sure to stay true to it's name and was cold and rainy all weekend...wants to break me in quickly I guess. :) HUGE change from the nice warm and sunny SoCal but better than MN I suppose.

I have a home!
For some ungodly reason it is almost 1 in the morn and I can not sleep for the life of me. Anyhow, I managed to find a place to live this weekend. Woohoo, I won't have to live out of my car. I was getting worried for awhile since I had looked at at least a dozen places and none really struck me. One place was nice and new but in a kinda shady neighboorhood. I was looking online and I had Amy looking trying to find more place to look at. Finally I found one in University Place. It's a little small, a little more expensive, and I'll have a little longer commute but at least it seems to be a safe area and it's not trashy. I move up next thursday so I have to get my butt in gear the next few days and get some packing done.
On another note...why is it that people from tech, and hibbing for that matter, think that it's ok to get super wasted every now and then but people from other places just can't beleive someone would get that drunk? Now I know every one of you from tech has been fall over drunk at times (in fact I can think of many occassions where it is actually encouraged :) ) and it's no big deal. But when my friends from elsewhere see someone like that they just can't get over it? Sorry I'm just pondering this idea of it being ok to drink like a fish at times to me but it not being ok to other people....
***Just as a disclaimer (parents and grandparents read this thing and I don't need them thinking I'm an alchi,LOL!) I wasn't talking about myself. Just in general, I see people fall over drunk and don't think much of it being from tech and that's how it was there. But my friends see people like that and think it's ridiculous and won't stop talking about how drunk that person was and how they can't believe it. For instance, this weekend one of my friend's friends got super wasted and she wouldn't leave her alone the next few days but I thought it was amusing and said, hey it happens to the best of us. :)

RRRRIIIIIIIIPPPPP!!!!!
Funny story...
This afternoon I am walking to my desk and my 14 y.o. patient looks at me funny, I ask what and she nods towards my aide, Mark. I look over and Mark is sitting with a blanket wrapped around his waist. He just says "Yes, I am wearing a skirt" and then under his breath mumbles to me that he'll tell me later. Once our patient leaves he goes on to tell me that he bent down to pick up a ball and heard a rip and totally split his pants. It was HUGE! Like halfway down the leg. LOL! Funny thing is his car is getting fixed so his wife had dropped him off at work so I offered to let him take my car home to get new pants. Problem is is that he didn't bring his house keys with. So being to wonderful boss that I am I tell him he can put on a pair of shorts that we have (rules say no shorts but I figure I could make the exception for this). Next problem is that all of our shorts are like 1 size fits no one even with hanging them low he still had to hike up is boxers so they didn't hang out. So needless to say Mark was one sexy man all afternoon. :)
Ok not that funny of a story but it had my secretary and I laughing so hard we were both crying. :) Here is a pic of Mark in his oh so sexy shorts. LOL!

82 and Sunny
In reading all your blogs I see that it's a wee bit nippy in the great midwest. Not to rub it in or anything but it is currently 82 and sunny here! Hahaha! Sorry I just had to do it. :)
Not much is new here, I seem to lead a rather boring life lately. I spent the weekend on my couch with no motivation to do anything...And I did just that. I should really get to packing, or at least scrounge up some boxes, but it seems the more I have to do the less motivated I am. :( I head up to Seattle the 15th to find an apartment and I think until I actually have a place to live I won't get much done packing wise. Yes, I am the world's greatest procrastintor!
I think I may go sit at the beach for a little bit and enjoy my last few weeks of sunshine :)

Too Cute
ARGH!!!!
I think I just need to bitch today. Why do guys suck so badly?! Long story but I was seeing this guy who is totally blowing me off now and I have no idea why. All I'm asking for is for him to tell me what's up, I'm not going to freak out on him I just want to know what's up. I don't care if he's seeing someone else or just isn't interested any more, just tell me! I just want the honesty that he promised me. I went into this hesitant and talked to him about it and promised that he would be completely straight-forward and honest with me. Well that is obviously not occuring now! At this point I know that I will not hear from him.
:( Whatever I guess. I keep trying to tell myself that he's not worth it and that if he's going to be like that who needs him but I really like him. Why does it always happen to me, as soon as I let myself like a guy I'm back here?! My heart can only take so much. :( I'm about ready to give up and become the old crazy lady who sits on her proch and drinks out of a brown paper bag and yells at all the kids. I mean is it so impossible to imagine that someone could actually like me?!!
Then all my patients are driving me crazy!!! Everyone is bitching about everything! I don't care people! If it's cold suck it up, I'm doing it for a reason. It hurts, well what do you expect when you have like no motion, it is going to hurt a little to get it back! It makes it even harder knowing that I am out of here in the next month. And then I hate feet and the past 2 days that is virtually all I've seen.
Ok, enough of my pity party. Just needed to vent a little.

Some Exciting News!!!
So I accepted a job in Tacoma, WA today! I will be starting there March 5 and will likely move up sometime late February. It was a little bit of a hard decision since I love the California weather and living a block from the beach and I will be taking a rather large pay cut but after a lot of thought and stress I decided that it's the best decision for me right now. The place where I currently work is totally unethical and is putting my license on the line. I have a 2 year contract with them and will have to pay back my sign-on bonus but I would rather do that than get charged with a felony for the crap they do. This new place seems like a really great company and I will be able to do 1-on-1 care rather than jam in 4 patients an hour as I do now, YAY! The pay sucks, but money isn't everyting, right? Plus, I can hope the people up there will be a little better than here since cali people suck! So if anyone has any helpful moving tips or knows anyone in the Seattle area send them my way. :)

Did you know me???
Well since the quizzes seem to have disappeared I will fill you all in an my answers. I never realized I'm as mysterious of a person as I appear to be ;) Only my sister and my mom got over 40!
- The farthest east I have ever been is Detroit, MI...sad I know.
- My brother's name is Scott but I call him George, don't know why I just do.
- I almost always get a NF sugarfree Vanilla Latte at starbucks but do mix it up every now and then with a mocha or chai.
- I have moved 3 times this past year. However, my sister and mom informed me that it was 4 since they counted when I lived out of my car for a month. Can you really count living out of your car though?
- I called my car the shaggin wagon in college.
- I have 27 pairs of jeans in my closet...half of them do not fit though and really need to be cleaned out but I have a hard time parting with some of my clothes.
- I have never snowboarded.
- I go to yoga almost every saturday morning.
- I have never been a waitress.
- I currently work for Independent Physical Therapy but that may be changing come thursday.

I finally gave in
So after constant coaxing from my sister I finally gave in and decided to start one of these things (I think she just wants me to do it so I have someone to bitch to other than her). I don't think my life is all that exciting but Amy says I have plenty of stories that you all would love to hear and be amused by.
To catch you all up I am currently living in Redondo Beach, CA which is in southern L.A.. But, I was just offered a job in Tacoma, WA which I am seriously considering taking, I will know by Jan 18 so I will keep you all posted! After 7 long years of school I finally finished this past June and am now a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I like what I do but I am still looking for a rich man to come sweep me off my feet so that I don't have to work as much! Haha!
Anyhow, that's all I have for now. I hope I can entertain you all and kill a little boredom with the stories of my life :)
Oh yes, I am also going to copy everyone else on this...Take my quiz and see how you do!
