It's time

I figure it's about time for an update. Unfortunately not too much exciting going on here other than the same old. I went hiking again last weekend. It was a pretty strenuous hike, 4 miles in but headed straight up with no flat spots. Unfortuantely it was so foggy uptop that you could see nothing and then it started sleating. Fun. I also got some HUGE blisters that are still giving me problems. :( Went out saturday night and then was extra lazy on sunday.

The week was the same old with work. I did get my haircut yesterday and it's a bit of a change. It is now really dark brown with red/copper highlights and quite short (it had been light brown with blond highlights and about 1-2 inches above my shoulders). I really like the color but am still a little hesitant on the cut. Byebye to being able to put it up for work and not having to worry about it. :( I'll post a pic when I get one. Went out last night to a new bar. It was a salsa bar, not really my thing so we then headed over to this bar that used to be an old firehouse. It pretty fun but people in this town are obsessed with kariokee!

I've been missing SoCal weather a bit. I must have blinked and missed summer here, lol, I don't think I ever got a tan. Now it's been gray and cold and rainy. Boo. It did make for a good day to go eat Mexican and then catch a movie. Saw Good Luck Chuck, it was pretty funny.

The next 3 weeks are going to be filled with work. We are just getting done remodeling so are closed on friday for carpet installation. That means I work tomorrow. Problem is is that I have a doctor appt that I couldn't get changed so I get to go to work at 7, work for 2 hrs then go to my Dr appt and then back to work. Yeah fun. That makes for a 12 hour day tomorrow and then have to do it again on wednesday. Then I have the stupid class that the company requires the following 2 weeks so that means 50 hour weeks but only getting paid for 40 of them. So not fair but what can you do.

Up & Up & Up

No triathalon for me this weekend. :) When I found out that it would be $55 a piece with no t-shirt and nowhere could I find what the cause was I convinced the boys that it would be much better use of our time and money to hike instead. So, we got up bright and early and headed over to the Olympic Mountains. It was great weather and the view was gorgeous! The hike was 3.8 miles each way with about a 3,000ft elevation gain. I didn't think it was bad at all and the view definately made it worth it. From the top you could see Mt. Rainer, Mt. Baker, and downtown Seattle.

Uneventful

I finally had a pretty much uneventful weekend and it was so nice! Friday I went out for a few drinks and then stayed with a friend who has been having some problems with somebody breaking into her house. Saturday I ventured up to Seattle for Bumbershoot, a music and arts festival. I think people watching was at it's best, you definately saw all sorts and hair colors! lol! Panic at the disco and Gym Class Heroes played. Sunday the day somehow disappeared from me and I got nothing done before I had to shower and get ready to go out for sushi with a friend. It was yummy, I haven't had sushi since I moved up here since no one will eat it with me. Monday I finally tackeled a pile of paperwork that has been staring at me and ran all sorts of errands and stuff. All in all my weekend was good.

This week I will be busy with work again, although I only worked half a day yesterday due to a doctor appointment in the morning. I somehow got convinced to be the running leg in a relay triathalon on saturday morning with a couple guys I know. Not sure how this will go being that I have hardly been running. It is dark by the time I get home so can't during the week and I've just been extra busy on the weekend so maybe get 1 day in and it's usually pretty short. I do go to the gym and all but running is a whole different story for me. But I figure it is only 5.5 miles, it may not be pretty but I know I can finish it... Wish me luck on that one!!!
