B-day fun
This weekend was fun filled and busy with lots of birthday fun. On friday I went to dinner and then out for drinks. We went to a restraunt on the waterfront that I haven't been to before, it was yummy. Saturday my friend Cori had a little get-together at her house where we enjoyed some beverages and then we ventured on to a bar in Lacey. I've only been to this bar a couple times but it was lots of fun. Quite a few people came out, several who I haven't seen for quite awhile. I'll post some pics when I get home. Sunday I didn't do too much. The weather was awful! Rainy and super windy. Didn't do anything for easter being it seems to be a family holiday and I have no family here. Went to El Toro and enjoyed a big fat burrito for my easter dinner. I finally had a monday off and had to be productive since my weekend was not. Managed to get my apt semi-cleaned, grocery shopped, talked to Dell for 2.5hrs to try to fix my computer (with no luck of course), went for a run, and even managed to make a trip to the mall where I bought my self a little b-day gift of a new pair of jeans. :) It was a great weekend and we had lots of fun! This weekend I am going to a food & wine festival in olympia. I'm a little unsure of this but I really like food and I like wine so I think I will be ok. :)

Long time
I've been crazy busy lately. Lots of work, lots of after work meetings (yuck), and plenty of extra-cirricular fun as well. Last sunday I ran a St. Patty's day run with a bunch of my coworkers. It was a little over 3.5 miles but felt super short. Most likely because there was so many runners you pretty much walked the first mile. It was crazy! And there was 5 different start times! Afterwards they had a couple beer gardens so we enjoyed a few beverages (even though it was only 10am).
This weekend is sure to be exhausting. I have dinner plans for tonight. Am going to hang out with a friend tomorrow during the day then out for drinks with some other friends tomorrow night. Sunday I have no easter plans but do have plans to spend the day with a friend. Plus I HAVE to fit in some gym time or I will go crazy! I've had after work meetings 2 nights this week so I've only been able to go the the gym 2 days and that's just not good. I attempted to get up at 5am one day so I could hit the gym before work but when I'm not getting home until around 11pm and still have things to do for the next day 5am just isn't happening, ugh! Oh well, things should settle down soon.
Anyhow, hope you all have great Easter's!!!

Computer woahs
My computer is a piece of poop right now. It won't read or burn cds. I've tried taking it out and putting it back in, restarting my computer, all sorts of things but my knowledge is very very limited. I've had the hard drive replaced once but it was still under waranty then, not now. Plus it's only about 3 years old I think. Grrrrr.

Nothing new
Nothing new here. Didn't do much last weekend, watched a movie friday, went out with a couple friends on saturday night, and out to lunch and for a walk with a friend on sunday. I worked on monday because I have a class friday, saturday, and sunday. YUCK! I'm starting to feel like every time I turn around I have another class to take. Plus this one is over an hour away and they won't pay for a hotel for me so I get to drive back and forth. Funfun. I am so not excited. Then sunday night I am meeting a friends for a drink. Currently I am trying to get the motivation to go to the gym but don't think it is going to happen. I have to pack since I have darts tomorrow night and then am leaving afterwards. Plus I'm thinking since I can't go to the gym for the rest of the week why go tonight. Haha. Anyhow, I better get to work. Hope your weekends are more fun-filled than mine!

work work work
That is my story as of lately. I worked an extra day last week, and an extra 3/4 day this week. Funfun. Other than that I haven't been up to too much. Went out with a couple friends for dinner on friday and then met up with some other ones for a drink later that night. Saturday I did my taxes, yuck! Otherwise I did all the fun errands and chores I save up for the weekend and hung out with a couple other friends.
Oh yes, I joined a dart league. Yes I am a dork, lol. A girl I work with convinced me to. Her husband is into darts, she has 2 little kids at home, and since he plays he can't tell her she can't and it's a way for her to get out of the house. Last week was our first game. It was interesting to say the least. I think I am one of the few who actually holds a job. I don't think I have played darts since early in college and when I did I usually had had several drinks and the only aim was to hit the bullseye. Yeah, not the case here, I actually have to hit specific numbers! It will be interesting.

Pics
Here are a few pics from my trip. I'm a little disappointed in them but rain doesn't make for great lighting. :)
The first sunset that we attmpted to watch. I say attempted because right after this point the sun disappeared completely behind the clouds.

From a lookout on the drive up the canyon.

Another sunset from a campground we stayed at. We actually got to see this sun set. :) Campgrounds there were crazy, no sites just a bunch of grass and you kinda just put your tent wherever.

This is on a 13 mile hike we took. It was 3 different trails with the 2nd trail connecting the other 2. We stopped to have a snack at the end of the first (it's where scenes from the movie 6 days 7 nights were filmed) and it started raining. We were so pissed! Then we saw this awesome double rainbow. Made the rain ok that day(even moreso since that was it for the day).

The lookout at end of trail 2/beginning of 3. Most people only go out and back on the 3rd trail. We kept meeting people and they would look at us like we were crazy since we were covered in mud (Amy had one of her more entertaining falls on this hike, lol) and all sweaty and ask if they had alot further to go and if it was really muddy. We then had to explain that we started on the other side and had been hiking for several hours at that point.

Hawaii Recap
Well we made it back it one piece. The beginning of the trip started off rather eventful. The plane I was supposed to be on got redirected because of bad weather in san francisco so after sitting on the runway for 1hr they had me get off because it was then going to oakland where I would not be able to connect to anywhere. So instead of leaving seattle at 10am I sat in the airport until 4pm. Turned out I got to Lihue about the same time and worked out well because Amy had flight adventures as well and ended up getting my spot out of san fran. So I finally make it to Lihue and what do you know, my bags do not. They do not know when they are going to get in and don't have someone at the alaska counter other than when a plane is coming in so I cannot call to see if they are there are not. They offer to deliver them but we are planning to camp, problem! So the next day we go to the airport 4 times(once in the morning to get amy's bag as well) in hopes of finding my bag. They finally tell me that it will be on the 8:30 flight, we get there to pick it up and what do you know mechanical problems on that flight and it won't be getting in until 2am! Ugh!!! So we head back to our campground (which is 1hr away) and I proceed to sleep on the ground with no sleeping bag, fun. It was so cold! Amy had given me a blanket but it didnt cover my body and I was shivering so bad the we tried to lay a pair of her pants on the ground for insultation. Yeah didnt work too well and I wake up with a bruised hip from the buttons in them. lol. I finally get my bag the next day. Woohoo!
Other than the bag adventures it POURED the first week or so. Not just light rain, super heavy rain all day and night! There were flash flood warnings, bridges closed, and everyone who lives there was saying they had never seen rain like it. Fantastic! Especially when you are planning to camp and hike. We hiked what we could, finally gave up on the north and east sides of the island and headed south to where they say it never rains. What do you know it was pouring!!! We decided to pretend we were guests at the sheraton and use their internet and such. Everyone was asking the help desk what to do in the rain and what do you know, they had zero suggestions. But we did get to see lots of rainbows and got a free mud treatment in our hiking. ;) The end of the trip the rain did finally die down and we were able to get some beach time. We also went to a luau which was cool. No partying for us though, the island seriously shuts down at 8pm! It was crazy! I don't know what the locals do. It was definetaly small town but in the small town I come from there are lots of bars at least! I don't think I have ever gone to bed so early so many nights in a row, especially on vacation. I have pictures to post but am too tired now. I'll post them later.
