Slacker

I know, I've been horrible at posting. Busy I guess. New job is going well but I have no computer access.

Xmas was good. We went to Craig's parents. I got a purse and a lounge/sweatsuit from him. It's purple and scares me but whatever, he likes when I wear it since it's not my baggy sweats and it is comfy.

New year's we did nothing. Were supposed to get together with my friend Alicia and her hubby but he's in the airforce and wasn't back from his trip yet. So we just went out to dinner and watched a movie. Seattle has fireworks so we watched them from our bedroom window at midnight.

In other excting news we justed booked a trip to Europe in June. Craig's bestfriend lives in Switzerland so we are going to go over for a few weeks and it sounds like go to Greece and Italy. I'm super excited! We figure it's now or never so better do it now.

C is going to vegas next week. Him and his dad and a few of his dad's buddies are going to play in a poker tournament down there. Hopefully he'll win lots of money. :)

Long time

I know I've been slacking but I haven't had internet access at work to blog. :) New job is going well. The past 1.5wks I've kinda been all over the place, seems like I'm someplace different every day. Thursday I start a 13wk assingment so I'll be at the same place every day which will be nice. We had my new work x-mass party last week. It was at a bowling alley. It was fun, especially since my good friends Alicia and Monica work for the same company and were there. Craig got to meet my new bosses and he even won a door prize. :)

Thanksgiving was fine. I ate too much as usual. It kinda sucks to be away from my family for all the holidays and Craig just doesn't get it. Oh well, what I get for moving away I guess. I gave his mom the pictures and she didn't say a thing, just looked at them funny. I'm not sure she remembered which ones she had asked me for. lol.

We put up a tree this year. Not sure why since we won't be here and never go in the room we put it in. Not sure we will even have any presents to put under it. I'm pushing for blinds for x-mas. Our family room has big windows and no blinds since you can't see the house behind us. You can feel the cold air coming through the windows so I want blinds. Ah the joys of getting older. :)

Otherr than that we've been pretty boring. We are supposed to have some friends over on friday but it seems to be falling apart and things are coming up for everyone so we'll see.

Here are a couple pictures fromm the x-mas party.

T-day

Today is my last day of work here. I start my new job monday. It's exciting but a little nerve racking too. I'll still be primarily doing outpatient but I will be changing locations every 13wks or so. I'm definately ready for the change though.

Tomorrow morning we are heading down to Craig's parents until saturday. Don't ask me why we have to stay until saturday but it's a compromise (he wants to leave tonight and stay until sunday). It's not that I don't like his family (although his mom tends to be a bit much for me) it's that we sleep on the floor and it kills my back. Plus people tend to stay up late and then his dad is up by 6ish so I get hardly any sleep. I'll be giving his mom the pictures she requested so wish me luck!

Hope everyone has a great thanksgiving and eats lots of turkey!

P-town

This weekend Craig and I went down to Portland to do some tax-free shopping. I was able to find a few things including a winter jacket, a pair of brown boots, and a pair of jeans. Unfortunately now that I'm home I'm not sold on the boots or the jeans. The jeans are too skinny through the knee and thigh for me (Craig likes them but I think it's just cuz they are tight, you know how men are). And the boots show when I wear them under my jeans which drives me crazy. I like the boot over jeans look but none of my jeans work with that and I'm just not sure I can rock the skinny jean. :) Overall it was a nice relaxing weekend though.

I've been busy with the transition of changing jobs. My current employer has been kinda bitchy about the whole thing which is rather frustrating to me. They want a reason and unfortunately I don't have a good one that I am willing to share with them. I mean there are lots of reasons I'm leaving but I would rather not go that route and give them them all. I've told them I want to be somewhere where I feel I can move up and I want something different but they don't like that answer. Whatever I guess, I'll be gone soon enough.

On that same note, since I'll be at a outpatient clinic of a big hospital group they need all sorts of crazy documentation from me to verify my credantials. My school and work history, my provider numbers for all the insurances I provide to (normally employers just look this up in data base), and the worst is certificates of liability insurance from all previous jobs. That one is a pain because where I worked in Cali is super flakey and not responding to my phone calls or emails and the new company needed it by yesterday! AHHH!

It's offical

It's offical, I handed in my resignation letter today. I'll be starting at a new company nov 30. I've been at my current job 2.75 yrs and think it's time to give something new a try. I really like my coworkers but have had many frustrations with the company. Hopefully the new job will turn out better. :)

MIL update

So for the pictures I've just decided to order the family pictures and play dumb from there. It would make sense to mail out those in a christmas card, not a picture of him and the groomsmen. If she's mad I'll just act confused. Whatever she can deal with it.

Weekend

We had a pretty lame weekend. Friday we just ordered a pizza and watched tv. Saturday morning our new dining room table got delivered bright and early (they called at 7:30 saying they were on their way). It looks really good and it's nice to finally have some furniture on that side of the house. :) We spent the day running errands then came home so C could watch football and I did some yardwork. We stayed home to handout candy saturday night but didn't get many kids. I guess all the hills in our neighborhood scare them off. Oh well more candy for us (just what we need I know). :) Sunday we ran up to Ike@ but didn't find anything to buy. Then we came home to watch the vikings game. It was a pretty mellow weekend which was nice for once. I seem to be fighting off a cold for like 3 weeks now and have just been exhausted.

This next weekend I have a 4 day weekend and tried to get C to go to Portland so we could go shopping tax-free but he doesn't want to since he is in Idaho for work all week. I think I am going to finally paint our bedroom but there's some things that I asked him to drill out that he never did so not sure if I'll be able to. Otherwise it will likely be the same old same old.

Here's a couple more pictures from pumpkin carving.
