yay!

My mom called and told me yesterday that my Grandma and Aunt Barb are going to be able to come to my wedding! Yay! My grandma has never been on a plane, never! Can you believe that?! Originally my grandma didn't think she would be able to come because she didn't want to leave my grandpa home alone and my grandpa won't leave the dog alone. But I guess now they got it figured out so my uncle will check on my grandpa. :)

This weekend we went to the Mariner's game. It was a nice sunny day and they won for once. We even got in for free because as we were going to buy tickets some guy offered us 2 tickets for free. Score!

This weekend is my bachlorette party. We are going to Portland for a spa day and then out on the town. Should be a good time and hopefully nobody will get too crazy. :)

RSVPs

I know you've all had this same frustration when you were getting married but our RSVPs are due on monday and we still haven't received over 50% of them back. I mean really how hard is it? They are addressed and stamped, all you have to do is write your name anda number on it and stick it in the mail! What I find even funnier is the people who have recently gotten married who complained about this same thing and now aren't sending theirs back. Fun stuff.

In other things we went to seattle for c's bday this past weekend. We had dinner and then went to a bar he likes and had a couple drinks. It was a good time. This weekend we have a wedding on saturday to go to for a friend of c's. I guess it's the grooms 4th wedding but her 1st! The are having a private ceremony so we are just going for dinner. Then sunday is c's bday so I should plan something for that.

I've been trying to finish up the programs for our wedding but it's just such a tedious task and I hate doing crafty things like that. But it must be done and me doing it is saving us about $5 a program x about 100. I'll try to take a picture and post it.

Thank you for all of the suggestions for attendant gifts. Craig finally decided on a flask for the guys with their nicknames he calls them on it. Unfortunately my brother does not have a nickname, I call him "george" but Craig wasn't going for that so he got S.S. which I think looks dumb. :) I had suggested flasks a loooooong time ago and Craig said no cuz one of the guys doesn't drink much but he's apparently changed his mind. I know what the girls are getting but can't put it here cuz I know a couple of them read this.

This past weekend we got Craig's ring. I think I had mentioned that his first ring was way too big cuz he refused to listen to me. But now that he got the size I suggested it fits great. :) It's a tungsten band so can't be resized but we got such a great price on it it was hard to turn down.

Since I got a new shower curtain and stuff for my bridal shower I painted one of the upstairs bathrooms a sage green this past weekend. It looks great! Too bad it's the smallest and most unused room in the house. I'm pushing for a sage living room but Craig doesn't seem to be going for it. I'll try posting pictures of the bathroom soon.

This next weekend we are celebrating Craig's bday (it's aug 16) since we have a wedding to go to the weekend of his actualy bday. I'm bummed because I was going to get C0ldplay tickets for him but now that we have to do it early I can't. And now I can't find anything fun to do! We'll probably just end up going to dinner in Seattle but we do that all the time.

Shower

My coworkers had a bridal shower for me this past saturday. My mom and aunt Kathy came out for it which really meant a lot to have them here for me. The shower was lots of fun and we got lots of good presents. :) There's some pictures below from the shower. Otherwise the weekend was spent hanging out with my mom and aunt. The weather here has been gorgeous! People here are just never happy, they complain when it's cold and gray every day and then they complain when it's hot and sunny. Who knows!

Suggestions needed

I'm having problems coming up with ideas for a couple things and was hoping you guys could give me some suggestions. :)
1) What to get the bridesmaids? I got them earrings but they were pretty inexpensive and would like to get them a little something more.

2) What to get the groomsmen? They are 3 very different guys and it needs to be something that can go on an airplane, and in one case into another country.

3) What song to dance to with my dad?

Please help!

Busy busy

This past weekend was nice. Friday we had dinner and a movie. Craig wanted to see Brun0 since he really liked b0rat, me not a big fan. Brun0 was very crude but pretty funny. Lots of male nudity. Saturday I spent doing yard work and then we went to try to find a place for rehearsal dinner. No luck! Who would have known it would be so hard. There's not much where we are getting married and the next town over is really confusing to drive in so craig wants to avoid it. So we checked out a place in the town before, Gig Harb0r. It was a nice little Italian restaurant with decent prices and good food with a room kinda offset in the back with a little privacy. Problem is the owner said there would be a minimal charge if it was raining but would have to speak with her husband to see what it would be. Odd to have it just if it rains if you ask me but no biggie I guess. Well I email her to see what the charge would be and she says $1,000! My god you call that minimal! And it would be with or without rain. Screw that! Now we are back at square one and I have no idea where to look as there is not much out that direction and we live 45min to 1hr away. Grrrr.

K enough bitching. This weekend my mom and aunt are coming to town for my shower! A couple girls from work are having one for me since my family isn't here and his family didn't seem to care. It should be fun. I also have my 2nd dress alteration so my mom and aunt will get to see my dress. Will be nice to see them and I'm excited they are able to come all the way out here just for my shower.

In other fun news I sent the invites out this past weekend! We ended up with about 115. Craig finally realized he was being ridiculous wanting to invite people who he hasn't talked to in years. Too bad we had to have a big argument about it first. he can be so stubborn and pig headed at times but then again so can I. :)

4th on July (a little late)

I know it's a little late, but better late than never. :) For the 4th we headed to eastern WA to Craig's cousin's. It was lots of fun. It was about 100 every day (which I love since we never get that here) so we spent lots of time on the boat or at the pool, ate too much food, and played guitar her0.

This past weekend we ended up driving to southern oregon to pick up a nightstand. When I bought my bedroom set I only bought 1 nightstand, didn't have room for more in my apt and the set only came with 1. Craig's been wanting another for quite awhile but it's too expensive for me (alone it's $600). I kept trying to convince him to just get one that didn't match but no luck. Anyhow, they are discontinuing my set so the price was way cheap but they only place that had one was Medford, OR and they wouldn't ship it so away we went. Good part is my aunt and uncle live about 30miles from medford so we stayed with them for the night.

This next weekend we HAVE to figure out where we are going to have our rehersal dinner. Where we are getting married is 45 minutes from where we live so we don't know the restraunts out there. When the weekend comes it seems we always have other things to do but at this point I don't think we can put it off anymore. Then the following weekend is my shower which my mom and aunt are comming out for so that will be lots of fun. And then we have just about every weekend filled until the wedding in 2 months! Crazy!
