I'm having problems coming up with ideas for a couple things and was hoping you guys could give me some suggestions. :)
1) What to get the bridesmaids? I got them earrings but they were pretty inexpensive and would like to get them a little something more.
2) What to get the groomsmen? They are 3 very different guys and it needs to be something that can go on an airplane, and in one case into another country.
3) What song to dance to with my dad?
Please help!

1. For bridesmaids gifts I did a basket...a personalized magnet from shutterfly.com that was a photo of me and that bridesmaid, chocolate, coffee, pedicure socks...and I can't remember what else. Shutterfly.com has a lot of cool photo gift ideas if you're looking for something personalized, and they have a lot of sales and free shipping promotions every few days, so it's not too pricey.
2. For groomsmen we did these:http://www.after5catalog.com/personalized-barbeque-branding-iron-texas-iron-p-139.html?cPath=41_42
That site has a ton of cool ideas...
3. Dad song...I did 'Forever in Blue Jeans' by Neil Diamond becuase when I was little my dad had a car with an 8-track player and he had the Neil Diamond 8-track. I always wanted to listen to that song with him. So it was totally not a normal 'father of the bride/bride' song, but it had a lot of meaning to me. Don't feel like you have to do one of the 'normal' songs.
My favorite gift I got as a bridesmaid was a bag/tote with my initials on it. When we go places, the beach, family parties, swimming lessons, it's nice to have our bag marked with my initials... no one has tried walking off with it.
I can't think of any Case's gifts that really stood out...
My dad doesn't like attention, so we just skipped that dance. Ask your Dad what song he likes...??
The last wedding I was in we got poker chips, each case had a different design on it based on the person who was getting it. For instance mine had to do with fishing, my buddies had a golf theme, one had a drinking/pub theme.
J's favorite has to be the bionoculars that he got from Chuck. The reception was at the top of some building in DC so they all used them to see the sights.
We got the groomsmen toiletry bags from LL Bean (and we filled them with microbrews), that was almost 6 years ago and I know at least a few of the guys still use them.
My dad and I danced to "What a Wonderful World"
1. One gift I received as a bridesmaid was a personalized purse/bag. Perfect to carry things in for the wedding and I still use it off and on now for different things. This could be something Karen could make??? I can also look to see where I bought it from if you would like. Another idea is to get make-up bags from 1154 Lill. You can design each gift based on the bridesmaid. My sister's friend sent out a questionnaire to get ideas to help personalize it.
2. Stainless Steel 5th personalzied - I think Josh got this as a gift for a wedding he stood in
3. I danced with my dad to Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle (country song)
Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll let you know what we decide when we finally do.
