Baby shower

Had my baby shower last weekend. It was fun and nugget got lots of good stuff. My mom and Amy were able to come out for it which was nice. I think my favorite gift was a BOB stroller from a bunch of people. I'm super tired right now and don't feel like saying much so instead here are a few pics from the shower.

28 wks

Here's some new belly photos at 28wks. Things still going good. We have his room painted and crib put together. Now we just need to add some finishing touches. The bed set I got came with a valance but our windows are so big in there that it's 2 short for either of them. I'm debating what I want to do there.

Craig is going down to his parents for thanksgiving. I have to work on friday and traffic is so bad here (last yr it took us 3.5 hrs for a 1.5 hr drive) that I've decided not to go. I may go to Alicia's house or I may just stay home, I'm leaning toward the staying home.

We have a busy next couple weeks. Thanksgiving then the next weekend we have a get together for a big football game between uw and wsu on sat and I have Alicia's baby shower on sunday. Then the next weekend my mom and Amy will be here for my shower. Then a free wknd and then we will be off to MN for Xmas. And it looks like Jan is going to be just as busy!

25 wks

Things going good here. Not much new. We went to Longview for Craig's mom and uncle bday last night and then went to a halloween party. I tried to take pics with my phone but they all turned out too dark. It was fun but I stayed up way too late. I don't think we've done much exciting lately nor do we have much exciting coming up.

Nugget-wise things are going good. I think I get bigger every day. I have the follow up echo next week so hopefully things still look good there. And I have my fun glucose tolerance test next week. And I get my 1st dose of rhogam. Going to be an exciting week. :)

We are working on the nursery. Decided to go with a jungle theme. Craig needs to paint one last wall (he ran out of paint). The crib and dresser are currently sitting in our living room waiting to be brought upstairs. When we are done I will post pics.

I Have a Headache

I got this ridiculous quote in the mail from my OB office today saying what it will cost for my routine monthly OB care. It doesn't include ultrasound, lab work, routine tests, delivery, or any additional OB visits amoung other things (there was a list of like 10 things). There is no way it can be correct. And if it is Craig and I are screwed! Let's not mention that I have to see him every 2 wks already, have to have ultrasounds every 6 wks, blood work every month, and had 1 echo with another one scheduled in 3 wks. UGH!!!! I know having a baby is expensive but this is a little ridiculous. Now everyone just hope that when I call on monday they say they added an extra zero and if not I'll be taking donations shortly.

21 wks

Same old here. We had a pretty busy weekend. Went to dinner and a movie friday. We saw The T0wn which was pretty good. Saturday I had dinner with some old coworkers and then met up with Craig and his buddy at the casino. No gambling for me but wanted to meet his buddy's new gf. Today we attempted to shop for baby bedding. No luck though. So much of the boy stuff tends to be too busy for me. Guess we'll keep looking for a bit.

It's a...

...BOY!!! We found out monday that nugget is a boy. US looked good, measuring in right on track. I see the dr again in a week for another US since he was having a hard time getting a good view of the heart as nugget was facing backwards and not wanting to cooperate. My blood is doing some crazy things so hopefully that figures itself out in the next couple months. Crazy to think that I am halfway there! I'll try to post some more belly pics next week and maybe even some of his little package if I get a chance to scan the US pics. :)

Last weekend was our 1st anniversary. We didn't do too much for it, just went out to dinner which we do pretty much every weekend anyhow. Ate a couple bites of year old wedding cake. Not sure who came up with that tradition but I'm not a huge fan of it. C got me flowers which lead to an ant infestation. Totally gross. But as soon as the flowers were thrown out the ants were gone so that is good.

This weekend we are doing yardwork. The summer has been cold and rainy here so there's lots that we need to do that hasn't gotten done. Tomorrow is supposed to be dry so on the list is barking the yard and painting the deck railing. Fun times. :)

"Nugget"

Craig has named the baby "nugget." I'm 17.5 wks now. Things are going pretty good. Finally feeling better, the first several months were pretty rough.

Belly is growing but still everyone says I don't look as pregnant as I am. I broke down and got a couple pairs of maternity pants for work. Still a little big but sooooo much more comfortable than a maternity band. I couldn't stomach the jeans, they were just too ugly. Anyone have a suggestion on where to get some moderately attractive maternity jeans??? I'm not loving the fact that my ass is growing just as fast as my belly. I mean there's no baby back there. Lol.

I had to switch dr's. They decided that I'm high risk due to my bleeding disorder. The new guy seems cool and seems to know what he's talking about. I ws ok switching since I wasn't overly impressed by the other OB that my gyn had referred me to. He did say that they will have to induce me so that they can ensure that the appropriate staff are there when I deliver. Not sure how I feel about that but whatever.
