Nada

Not much going on here, hence the lack of posting. Last weekend was pretty laid back--did a little mini-golfing, I went to a movie and got a drink with my friend Cori, Craig and I went to dinner on friday, ran errands, etc. This week I worked extra in effort to help pay for my surgery. Amy got here last night. Thursday I think we are going to the minor league baseball game, and then sunday we have a bbq. Nothing all that exciting. Work has been work. In fun news though, my parents got a killer deal on plane tickets and are going to come out over labor day so my dad can meet craig. I think his parents are going to come up one day as well so they can all meet, ugh!

Trip

Our trip went really well and was lots of fun. It was really hot and luckily all the rain managed to hold off until night time. Unfortuantely I don't feel like I got very tan. :( We mainly hung out by the pool, checked out some of the flee markets, and walked around town. One day we went on a cruise thing that took us snorkling (but the water was really brown and you couldn't see anything), then took us to an island where I experainced my first ever horseback ride. My horse was just about the oldest and smallest one there and didn't want to move. Craig's was way in front on me and the guide kept wipping mine with a twig. I was a little nervous that my horse was gonna get pissed off! The most exciting thing we did was this zipline/rapelling course out in the jungle. Lots of fun. It was nice to get away and relax and enjoy the sun. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

This weekend we are headed over to eastern WA to Craig's cousins house. The weather is much warmer there and they have a pool and all sorts of fun stuff so it will be a good time. Hope you all have safe and fun 4ths!

the happenings

I am so annoyed by my boss that I am ready to ask for a transfer to a different clinic. I get crabby as soon as I see him in the morning. Ugh! Between the hard time he gave me with my surgery and all the crap he's been pulling lately I'm sick of it. I am in such a better mood and enjoy work when he's not here. Too bad I like the other people I work with or the decision would be easy.

Anyhow, last weekend we went down to Craig's parents for father's day. It was a good time. Had a bbq, met the rest of his fam, hung out with a friend of his from high school, ate lots of food, etc.

On sunday we leave for mexico for 1 week. WooHoo! Thank god, I am soooooo ready for a vacation! I know I was just off for a week but when you are recovering from surgery it's not much of a vacation. I've been checking the weather and unfortunately there's a 60% chance of storms every day! Ugh! I sure hope this doesn't turn out like mine and Amy's vacation to Hawaii!!!! I'll post lots of pictures when we get back. Pray for good weather for me!!!!

update...

I am feeling quite a bit better. Was able to work 5 hrs on thursday (was supposed to work 8) and 8 hrs on friday. Friday wasn't too bad because my boss wasn't there and my co-workers were nice enough to take my patients if they had am opening so I could get a little break. I'm really frustrated with how my boss has been with this whole thing but that's it's own story. I'm supposed to work my normal 4 10's this week so we will see how that goes.

This weekend was pretty mellow. Friday night I sat on my couch, was tired from working. Saturday we went up to a friend of Craig's who lives north of Seattle for a drink. On the way we stopped at a mall in hopes of me finding some shorts for our trip (of course with no luck). I did end up having to drop a bunch of money of phone stuff, my battery dies after a 30 minute convo and beginning july 1 WA state requires handless so I bought a bluetooth earpiece. On the way home we stopped and had dinner at this little Italian place. Sunday was pretty mellow. We walked to St@rbucks for pastries and coffee. It was my first attempt at semi-exercise and went well. Then Craig had a double header for softball so I went and watched. After we got home and ate dinner I was wiped out and went to bed way early. The cold and rainy weather we have been having certainly doesn't help with my energy level.

This week should be pretty calm besides work. Next weekend we are going down to Craig's parents for a father's day BBQ. We are thinking about heading down early to hang out with a friend of his from high school but we will see.

bored

I'm bored. I'm not made to sit around and do nothing. I'm antsy but know that I need to sit on my couch all day. Am overall feeling much better but my incisions are still really sore and it hurts to walk and I get tired really easy. I am supposed to work part of a day (8 hrs vs my normal 10) on thursday, not sure how that will go. I know my dr doesn't want me back to work for 2-3 weeks due to the nature of my job but I don't have the vacation time or the money to go without pay for that long.

I did get out of my house yesterday. Had a dr appt for some other issues that I set up 4 months ago so figured I better go. Also got my oil changed (no standing required) and picked up a couple things at target. I was sore afterward, could tell that I did too much even though it was next to nothing!

Today I am killing time by burning CDs for Amy. :)
